09/28/2010 @ 7:39am

CHICAGO, Illinois (Agriculture.com)--The pre-opening prices for the CME Group grain commodities for Tuesday, September 28, 2010 are lower. The early calls for corn are 2-4 cents lower, soybeans 3-5 cents lower, and wheat 5-7 cents lower.

In overnight electronic trading, the Dec. corn futures contract traded 4 1/2 cents lower at $5.08 1/4 per bushel. The Nov. soybean futures contract traded 5 3/4 cents lower at $11.22 3/4 per bushel. The Dec. wheat futures contract traded 8 1/21 cents lower at $6.98. For Dec. soymeal futures, the contract traded $2.60 per short ton lower at $313.10, and Dec. soyoil up 0.07 point at $45.04.

The outside markets are mildly supportive for Tuesday's grain trade. The real factors driving the lower early calls are the lower overnight markets.
