Early calls for corn, wheat, and soybeans

09/14/2010 @ 7:49am

CHICAGO, Illinois (Agriculture.com)--The pre-opening prices for the CME Group grain commodities for Tuesday, September 14, 2010 are lower. The early calls for corn are 1-2 cents lower, soybeans down 3-5 cents, and wheat 5-7 cents lower.

In overnight electronic trading, the Dec. corn futures contract traded 2 1/4 cents lower at $4.81 1/4 per bushel. The Nov. soybean futures contract traded 6 cent lower at $10.28 1/2 per bushel. The Dec. wheat futures contract traded 6 1/2 cents lower at $7.38 1/2. For Dec. soymeal futures, the contract traded $0.80 per short ton lower at $292.70, and Dec. soyoil down 0.28 point at $41.53.

The outside markets are not supportive for Tuesday's grain trade. The real factors driving the early calls will be the lower overnight grain trading.
