Grains called to open Thursday higher
Wednesday's strength in the CME Group grain pits is expected to spill over into Thursday, sources say.
Early calls for the commodities are:
- Corn: 2-4 higher
- Soybeans: 9-11 higher
- Wheat: 4-6 higher
In overnight trading as of 6:15 AM CST, the December 2010 corn futures contract was $5.75 1/4 per bushel, up 1 3/4 cents, while December wheat was 3 1/2 cents higher at $6.86 1/2, according to Dow Jones Newswires. November soybeans were 9 cents higher at $12.21 per bushel, while December soybean oil and meal were both higher (0.45 cents/pound at 48.90 and $0.80 per ton at $338.60, respectively).
