What's new at the 2013 AG CONNECT Expo

Jeff Caldwell 01/29/2013 @ 11:18am Multimedia Editor for Agriculture.com and Successful Farming magazine.

The 2013 AG CONNECT Expo got started on Tuesday at the Kansas City Convention Center, bringing almost 400 agricultural manufacturers and input companies together from around the world.

This year's show features a new high for exhibitor numbers at 390, says show director Sara Mooney. The Kansas City facility features 30% more trade show space than past shows and this year's AG CONNECT is taking place alongside annual meetings for U.S. Custom Harvesters and National Farmers Organization.

Mooney says she's most excited about the unique opportunity afforded farmers attending the show to interact directly with the chief executives from major ag manufacturers. "A lot of new products are making their debut and there are a lot of CEOs and executives here," she says. "Farmers can ask a lot of questions, and they're not just talking to their local representatives."
