Drought slams Texas cotton crop

The estimates for this year's cotton crop were released Monday by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and were virtually unchanged from last month. They follow back-to-back record years for Texas producers. Last year, the state produced 8.5 million bales, about 700,000 bales more than 2004.
