A mixed grain trade Tuesday

02/21/2012 @ 7:40am

The CME Group corn, soybean and wheat markets could stumble out of the blocks Tuesday.

The Early Calls for the commodities on Tuesday, February 21, 2012, are mostly lower. Corn is seen opening 6-7 cents lower, soybeans 1-2 cents higher and wheat 5-7 cents higher.

In overnight trading, the March corn futures contract traded 6 1/2 cents lower at $6.35 1/4 per bushel. March soybean futures traded 1 1/4 cents higher at $12.68 3/4 per bushel, and March wheat traded 7 1/4 cents lower at $6.36 3/4. For March soybean meal futures, the contract traded $0.10 per short ton higher at $332.60. March soybean oil futures traded $0.23 higher at $53.63.

The outside markets are mostly favorable for Tuesday's grain trade. The real factors driving the calls will be the mixed overnight markets.
