crazy thing about forward pricing HANS REINHARDT 07/20/2012 @ 7:30am from what i hear lots of farmers sold crop earlier in the year up to their crop insurance bushel guarantees. if crop insurance protects your lost bushels that u sold to the elevator then where does the money come from to pay your input costs or family living or machinery payments etc....
