Corn, soybean markets to dip

10/01/2013 @ 7:33am

On Tuesday, the CME Group's corn, soybean, and wheat markets are expected to start lower.

The early calls for the commodities on Tuesday, October 1, 2013, are lower. Corn is seen opening 1 to 2 cents lower, soybeans 5 to 7 cents lower, and wheat 1 to 2 cents lower.

In overnight trading, the Dec. corn futures traded 1 1/4 cents lower at $4.40 per bushel. The Nov. soybean futures traded 7 1/2 cents lower at $12.75. The Dec. wheat futures contract traded 1 1/2 cents lower at $6.77. For Dec. soybean meal futures, the contract traded $3.60 per short ton lower at $401.80; Dec. soybean oil futures traded $0.05 higher at $41.15.

The outside markets are slightly favorable for Tuesday's grain trade. The real factors driving the calls will be the lower overnight markets.

10/01/2013 @ 8:26am I think its fantastic how theUSDA just happens to come out with a bearish BS!! report right when you cbot traders need it,just like this last spring prices were gonna rise because farmers could not get in the fields and boom the usda just happens to find 300 million bushels lying around nice job. Also the upper midwest where the drought hurt the worse is not in the field yet and when they do the yields wont be there not that you idiots would listen to farmers anyway we are grow the crop for you so you can sell it and mess with our livlihood.
