Last 2 weeks of yet more heat has hurt the D deal 09/01/2011 @ 3:01pm Basically even if Noah and Ark comes, we're getting short on growing time to grow much winter feed in the S / SW. Alot of folks rotate summer to winter pastures ( perhaps supp cottonseed cake on the winter ) seasonally. Most everyone used up their winter pastures too this summer. Thus the season is shot so to speak till next year, IF moisture by sometime next year ( perhaps a pretty big "if"). Hopefully this is not one of those multi year epic drouths ( 5 to 30 year drouth as some other countries on the globe have endured in the recent past ).
