Early Calls for commodities

11/21/2011 @ 7:20am

With unfriendly outside markets and lower overnight grain trade, the CME Group corn, soybean and wheat markets will start the week's day-trading sessions lower Monday.

The Early Calls for the commodities on Monday, November 21, 2011, are lower. Corn, soybeans and wheat are seen opening 8-11 cents lower.

In overnight electronic trading, the Dec. corn futures contract traded 9 cents lower at $6.01 1/4 per bushel. The Jan. soybean futures contract traded 11 cents lower at $11.57 1/4 per bushel. The Dec. wheat futures contract traded 8 1/4 cents lower at $5.90. For Jan. soymeal futures, the contract traded $5.50 per short ton lower at $294.80 and Dec. soyoil $0.49 lower at $50.39.

The outside markets are unfavorable for Monday's grain trade. The real factors driving the calls will be the lower overnight markets.
