Early Calls for commodities

12/16/2011 @ 7:38am

The CME Group corn, soybean and wheat prices will rely on a weaker U.S. Dollar to start Friday's trade higher.

The Early Calls for the commodities on Friday, December 16, 2011, are higher. Corn is seen opening 2-4 cents higher, soybeans 4-6 cents higher, and wheat up 2-4 cents.

In overnight electronic trading, the March corn futures contract traded 1 cent higher at $5.80 per bushel. The Jan. soybean futures contract traded 4 3/4 cents higher at $11.16 1/2 per bushel. The March wheat futures contract traded 2 1/2 cents higher at $5.81 3/4. For Jan. soymeal futures, the contract traded $1.50 per short ton higher at $284.40 and Jan. soyoil $0.15 higher at $49.13.

The outside markets are favorable for Friday's grain trade. The real factors driving the calls will be the slightly higher overnight markets.
