Missouri River releases 06/06/2011 @ 11:16am As a farmer in the lower Missouri River Valley who may be impacted by the water releases from the Dams on the Missouri, I would like to know why the Corp Of Engineers did not anticipate the snow melting and release some water sooner while the river had tha ability to handle more water. Was this so they did not want to affect the flooding on the lower Mississippi? Was this for the benefit of the Palid Sturgeon? Was it just plain stupidity and poor management? If for any of these and many other reasons, will our government help the farmers recover their losses? OLDMAN
