03/23/2012 @ 7:23am

A stronger overnight trade along with favorable outside markets is setting up a sharply higher CME Group corn, soybean and wheat day session Friday.

The Early Calls for the commodities on Friday, March 23, 2012, are higher.

Corn is seen opening 6-8 cents higher, soybeans 13-15 cents higher and wheat 3-5 cents higher.

In overnight trading, the July corn futures contract traded 6 1/4 cents higher at $6.49 per bushel. July soybean futures traded 16 cents higher at $13.72 3/4 per bushel, and July wheat traded 4 cents higher at $6.59 1/2. For July soybean meal futures, the contract traded $0.30 per short ton higher at $374.10. July soybean oil futures traded $0.81 higher at $55.18.

The outside markets are favorable for Friday's grain trade. The real factors driving the calls will be the higher overnight markets.
