Up is the direction for corn, soybean markets

07/27/2012 @ 7:21am

The CME Group corn, soybean and wheat markets are positioned to surge higher Friday.

The Early Calls for the commodities on Friday, July 27, 2012, are higher. Corn is seen opening 8-10 cents higher, soybeans 20-25 cents higher, and wheat 13-15 cents higher.

In overnight trading, the Sep. corn trades 8 cents higher at $7.89 1/4 per bushel, while the Dec. contract traded 8 cents higher at $7.84 1/4.   Nov. soybean futures traded 20 1/4 cents higher at $16.76 per bushel. Sep. wheat futures traded 14 cents higher at $8.98.

The outside markets are mildly favorable for Friday's grain trade. The real factors driving the calls will be the sharply higher overnight markets.
