Why not demand that equipment manufacturers develop E85 farming equipment, so that farmers can use their own fuel vs. fuel from oil companies?

Many farmers already burn E85 in their pickup trucks. Most of their equipment runs on diesel and tractors are already a big market for biodiesel. My story didn't mention the effect of last Friday's EPA proposal, but some in the industry think it will effectively cut the RFS for biodiesel from 1.28 billion gallons this year to about 1 billion.
