The Time has come 02/14/2012 @ 7:13am we all knew that this was in the works for a long time. If they want to get rid of direct fine, but I don't like the idea of ending conservation payments. And if we get no direct then how about no more USDA reporting, how much does that cost the tax payers?

How about we remove some of the non-farm related p 02/13/2012 @ 12:31pm How about eliminating the FDA and setting up a reduced version under the Department of Commerce, then taking things like the school lunch program and put it under the the Department of Health & Human Services along with the Pharmaceutical side of the FDA and USDA, leaving the USDA to serve Farmers and to implement all of it's programs through the Rural Development Funding Program, setting up branches in small town banks to increase accessibility, as well as to have more control over how Banks are using the Real Estate parts of the program. (Many do little or nothing with it, costing Rural Americans millions or more every year by directing them to substandard financing, which enables them to charge higher fees and gain monies from "discount pricing".)
