Case IH Adds to Its Lineup of Precision Solutions

Whether in the cab or from the sky, the latest Advanced Farming Systems (AFS) solutions from Case IH will help growers collect timely information to make better-informed decisions about their crops. Two new updates, AccuStar and Case IH UAV package, expand the company’s suite of precision farming offerings.

“Given today’s tightening margins, we’re focused on working with producers of all sizes and vintages of equipment to provide new technology options that will help drive efficiencies and, ultimately, grow their bottom line,” says Leo Bose, Case IH AFS marketing manager.

AccuStar

Accurately map fields and save on fuel, labor, and input costs with the AccuStar GPS receiver. Ideal for GPS positioning for combine yield mapping, stand-alone GPS applications, and providing GPS to third-party displays or applications, this receiver lets you quickly and cost-effectively upgrade or add precision capabilities to older model tractors or combines. Once the magnetic base and harnessing are installed, you can begin georeferencing exact data points in the field.

The receiver also provides access to multiple guidance-correction sources ranging from low, medium, and high accuracy. This allows users to upgrade to RTK-level guidance with Case IH RTK+ for sub-inch, pass-to-pass accuracy. Cellular RTK+ guidance-correction signals offer seamless coverage to alleviate line-of-sight issues associated with radio-delivered RTK correction.

AccuStar is also compatible with ElectriSteer. Controlled through the AFS Pro 700 monitor, ElectriSteer is an assisted-steering solution that provides auto guidance for both new and used machines in mixed fleets with a variety of accuracy options.

“Together, AccuStar and ElectriSteer provide a quick, easy, and affordable system that allows producers to realize the benefits of auto guidance on all their equipment. This allows for integration into their existing equipment without auto guidance capabilities,” says Bose. “Equipped with a GPS-based auto-steer system, operators can take advantage of RTK corrections for applications that require the highest levels of precision, such as strip-till or bedding.”

Case IH UAV

DroneDeploy and Case IH have teamed up to develop the Case IH UAV package, which lets you take the pulse of your crop’s health for real-time decision making.

“Producers can also benefit from visual data to make timely management decisions,” he says. “Using aerial imagery, the Case IH UAV package helps uncover opportunities that growers may not otherwise have the time or resources to detect at ground level.”

The Case IH UAV package will be available this spring. It includes the DJI Phantom 4 Pro drone with RGB camera, hard carrying case, extra battery, and one-year subscription to DroneDeploy software.
