Takeaways from the National Farm Machinery Show
For 50 years, the National Farm Machinery Show has been the arena where ag manufacturers launch game-changing products. The 2015 show was no different.
New precision ag equipment continues to redefine what is possible in farming. At this year’s show, we saw individual nozzle control for sprayers, scouting drones, upgrades to data platforms, and new ways to integrate irrigation information into farm data.
Advanced technology has swept across farming equipment, leaving almost no area untouched. However, very little has been done in the area of tillage. At this year’s show, McFarlane and Summers both introduced tillage tools that can hydraulically adjust on the go, allowing you to accomplish more with one piece of equipment.
It’s no secret that the cattle market is booming while crop prices have dramatically softened. This was apparent by the number of new products geared toward cattle producers, including Vermeer’s FPX9000, Case IH’s Farmall 100A, New Holland’s T6 series, and Kioti’s PX series.
