Agriculture.com wins two MobileWebAwards

Agriculture.com Staff 05/23/2012 @ 11:38am

DES MOINES, IA – {May 23, 2012} Less than one year after the re-launch of m.Agriculture.com, the site has been awarded two MobileWebAwards from the Web Marketing Association for Best Magazine Mobile Website and Best Magazine Mobile Application.

“These awards are a great reinforcement for the recent work we’ve accomplished with m.Agriculture.com,” said John Walter, executive editor for Successful Farming® magazine and Agriculture.com®.  “We’ve been developing new mobile services for farmers, and have found success with the expanded features.”

The two awards come shortly after the announcement of the industry-first Mobile Commerce Messaging suite of offerings. The new services include a unique [A] Deals feature that provides farmers with direct marketing promotions and discounted offers from advertisers.

“The mobile space is an exciting one for agriculture,” said Walter. “Most of the time farmers work on the go.  Our mobile site helps them keep up with the latest markets, weather, news, technology, and now input buying opportunities.”

After m.Agriculture.com was launched in 2010, its developers soon began testing new services most appropriate for mobile use. These services included dynamic, multimedia content like video, slideshows, and an “app tray.”

“The mobile site for Successful Farming and Agriculture.com has experienced healthy and steady growth over the last year,” said Curt Blades, National Sales Manager for Successful Farming. “Its offerings for both farmers and advertisers have gained the appropriate attention through winning these MobileWebAwards.”
