Pioneer expands services with FIT Studio
Pioneer Hi-Bred, a DuPont business, unveils FIT Studio, an extension of Pioneer FIT Services. This new comprehensive mapping software provides Pioneer sales professionals another tool to help growers get the right product on the right acre.
"Growers continuously look for information and management techniques to increase productivity and make important crop investment decisions," says John Chism, Pioneer services implementation manager, U.S. Region. "Pioneer growers soon will have access to FIT Studio features. This new service enables a broader array of value-added precision ag options."
FIT Studio, an addition to current Pioneer services - FIT Field Planner, FIT As-Planted Maps and FIT Mapping at Harvest - offers powerful new, map-based functionality, including historical and multiyear yield analysis tools, as well as more advanced features, such as variable rate seeding functionality.
"Pioneer growers have enjoyed FIT Services for eight years," Chism says. "The addition of FIT Studio is another key to helping growers make profitable, informed management decisions by generating map-based views of their field-by-field precision ag data.
"The initial launch adds to our current Pioneer FIT services, equipping sales reps with some basic, yet essential, mapping functions for our growers," Chism says. "Multiyear yield analysis and variable rate seeding features offer growers information needed to potentially adjust their management techniques and help improve profitability."
Pioneer has worked with Mapshots, a software development company that specializes in crop management applications for agriculture, to develop the features of FIT Studio.
"Through this collaboration, Pioneer has the ability over time to add a variety of unique precision ag features to FIT Studio to meet growers' needs," Chism says.
