DAS announces new investment in weed control system

Agriculture.com Staff 02/14/2012 @ 9:25am

Dow AgroSciences has announced a "significant, multi-year asset investment" in its Enlist Weed Control System. The investment will enable production of the company’s patented 2,4-D choline, the company said in a statement Tuesday. The 2,4-D choline is a key component in the company's Colex-D Technology.

The technology will be featured in Enlist Duo herbicide, which the company calls "a highly differentiated herbicide solution for the Enlist system."

Colex-D Technology package will offers farmers "significant benefits, including ultra-low volatility, minimized potential for drift, decreased odor and improved handling characteristics," the company said.
