Bobcat’s 9BH Backhoe

Updated: 08/14/2014 @ 10:34am

Bobcat is launching a new 9BH backhoe that boasts versatility, provides minimal downtime, and is an efficient choice for general excavating and trenching applications.

Why a backhoe?
Backhoe attachments allow a compact loader to perform excavating and trenching projects without the purchase or rental of larger equipment. The attachment can perform excavating tasks with dig depths ranging from 7 feet, 11 inches to 9 feet, 8 inches. The 9BH model features the X-Change mounting system, which allows you to use the same buckets found on Bobcat excavators. Multiple bucket widths are available.

To mount the backhoe attachment, you first drill holes in front of the machine and then bolt on the mounting frame. The backhoe latch arms are then connected to the mounting frame and securely locked. Finally, you secure a safety chain, and you are ready to use the machine.

The reach of the 9BH at ground level is 12.1 feet, the bucket digs at a 4,716- to 5,042-pound force, and the arm force is a 3,029- to 3,241-pound force.

The 9BH is approved for use with both S510 through S650 skid-steer models and the T550 through T650 compact track loaders.
