Portable DEF

02/10/2014 @ 2:32pm

2014 is the year for Tier 4 Final emission standards. The solutions from all manufacturers of high-horsepower diesel engines will include the use of diesel exhaust fluid (DEF). With that come challenges, notably the need for a clean, convenient way to get DEF to machinery in off-road applications.

Thunder Creek Equipment is unveiling a new, portable solution that will fit in a standard truck bed. The DEF Transport Tote houses a 50-gallon DEF tank and Thunder Creek’s two-in-one DEF pumping system under a lockable, weather-sealed door.

“We’ve spent a lot of time designing this so you end up with a compact, convenient solution that maintains the contaminant-free nature of DEF,” says Luke Van Wyk, Thunder Creek Equipment.

The tote can be loaded and secured with the same lifting points. Everything is accessible from the driver side of the truck bed.

Thunder Creek’s two-in-one pumping system allows you to fill and dispense DEF with one pump; you do not need to move the pump between filling and dispensing. You simply grab the hose, attach the Micro-Matic coupler or dispensing nozzle, set the flow direction, and turn on the pump.

The Transport Tote is available for $2,450.
