New 120-foot boom option for Case IH Patriot 4420 sprayer

08/20/2007 @ 12:30pm

A new 120-foot boom option for the Case IH Patriot 4420 self-propelled sprayer increases productivity by allowing applicators to cover more ground in less time. The extra-long sprayer boom has the potential to increase productivity 33% over a unit equipped with a 90-foot boom and 20% compared to a 100-foot boom.

The truss-style, three-section boom is engineered for strength and durability, with few support structures to add weight. The inner, mid and outer sections of the boom are constructed of tube steel. The breakaway section is made of aluminum. The inner and mid-boom sections have larger steel tubing than either the 90- or 100-foot boom. It also features a 44-inch vertical cross section.
