When AutoFarm and MacDon put their collective heads together, the result was a new system that takes full advantage of AutoFarm technology in hands-free GPS steering.
AutoFarm AutoSteer, a GPS steering system in a custom-designed kit, provides a factory-installed look for MacDon-built machines.
"This is the first hands-free steering system for swathers that really delivers high accuracy and repeatability while maintaining a clear operator environment," says Richard Kirkby, product manager for MacDon tractor and hay products.
AutoFarm has fully integrated their GPS AutoSteer into the hydraulic system of MacDon's swathers to produce high accuracy, repeatable, hands-free steering. The only component inside the cab is their color touchscreen display. MacDon is equipping all 2009 M Series units with AutoFarm's remote engage switch as a standard feature in a button, which will be mounted in the speed stick handle.
