Challenger has announced it will begin production of its new series tractor in October 2006. The MT900B articulated tractor series will include four models - MT945B, MT955B, MT965B, and MT975B. Each model has a Caterpillar C15 ACERT Tier III engine and Caterpillar Powershift 16F/4R transmission. Horsepower ranges from 430 to 570.

Other features include heavy-duty articulating joint, 60,000 lbs. maximum operating weight, 185 amp alternator, variety of tire offerings, 120 mm bar axles, double inboard planetary final drive and 390 gallon fuel tank capacity.
