Fendt Launches 700 Series Tractors
“The Fendt 700 series is an exceptionally compact, high-horsepower tractor that provides maximum engine horsepower ratings from 145 to 240 for a broad range of farmwork, from heavy-duty field duties to light row-crop operations, as well as the nimbleness to serve in loading and feeding operations with a front-end loader,” says Conor Bergin, AGCO.
The 700 series include the 714, 716, 718, 720, 722, and 724, all available in the Profi and ProfiPlus option packages, which include premium features as standard equipment.
At the heart of the new lineup is a Tier 4 Final six-cylinder diesel engine with a cooled exhaust gas recirculation and SCR emission control package. For improved fuel economy and reduced maintenance, a coated soot filter was added to the exhaust stream. This automatically cleans the system without an additional downstream fuel injection into the exhaust stream.
Each model is equipped with a CVT and remote measuring points for hydraulic and transmission fluid. An optional 50-gpm hydraulic system is available.
A four-speed 1000E PTO ensures higher operating efficiency by driving the rear PTO at 1,000 rpm, even at reduced speeds.
The new CargoProfi is Fendt’s latest development in front loader technology. New measuring and tilt sensor systems, as well as a job computer, enable helpful loader functions. Farmers can track loaded weight, shake the bucket, and save the positions of the arm and attachment to recreate a specific action, such as loading the total mixed ration mixer.
New cab innovations include a front windshield wiper with an operating angle of 300°, steering column switch, and spray nozzle integrated into the wiper arm. The new Varioterminal 10.4B touch-screen monitor is mounted on a holder to provide an improved range of motion. Intuitive navigation allows for quick adjustments to tractor settings. The terminal offers VarioGuide automatic steering, VarioDoc documentation for maintenance and other records, and Variotronic IM implement control, which allows the implement to tell the tractor position and power needs.
