Innovative technologies take utility vehicles to new heights

Agriculture.com Staff 05/09/2007 @ 9:00am

Club Car has developed two additional technologies, IntelliLock and IQ Torque, for its XRT800 and XRT810 electric utility vehicles.

IntelliLock automatic locking differential is a true on-demand traction system developed for smaller chassis vehicles. The system allows the vehicle to operate like a normal open differential vehicle for turning ease and reduced risk of turf damage. As soon as there is tire slippage, the system automatically locks to increase traction.

To scale tricky terrain, engineers developed IQ Torque. It is the first retrofit motor and controller combination utilizing Club Car's IQ technology. It is designed specifically to give a dramatic performance boost to hill climbing capabilities and generates 15 hp and 48 feet/pounds of torque.
