Yamaha’s Grizzly 450 EPS
Same big features
The Grizzly 450 Automatic 4x4 EPS offers many of the same features as its bigger brothers, and features a 421cc liquid-cooled SOHC four-stroke engine.
Electric Power Steering
An Electric Power Steering (EPS) system lightens steering for superior comfort and terrainability.
Lighter than ever before
The 450 is almost 10 pounds lighter than previous Grizzly 450 models, even with the addition of Electric Power Steering, providing awesome power-to-weight ratio.
The Grizzly 450 offers an industry-exclusive, fully automatic Ultramatic transmission. An automatic centrifugal clutch maintains constant belt tension for reduced belt wear and sprag clutch for all-wheel downhill engine braking in 4WD mode.
Cast aluminum wheels
The Steel Blue model includes cast aluminum wheels.
A three-position On-Command In/Out 4WD feature lets you switch between 2WD, limited-slip 4WD and a fully locked differential 4WD -- all with the simple push of a button. An override button allows engine to make maximum RPM in full Differential Lock mode.
A fully independent long-travel four-wheel suspension features double-wishbone suspension front and rear.
Ground clearance of 10.8 inches and a high-impact plastic skidplate provide terrainability and undercarriage protection.
Digital instrument panel
A digital instrument panel boasts a multifunction LCD display with speedometer, odometer, dual tripmeter, hour meter, 4WD status, transmission position and clock.
Wet brake system
The rear wet brake is a multi-disc system running in hydraulic fluid inside a sealed unit. This keeps out the elements (such as mud and water) while providing powerful, consistent stopping power and greatly reduced maintenance.
Yamaha has partnered with Warn Industries to develop a line of exclusive accessories, including a 2,500-pound winch kit and an ATV plow kit.
