Whether you want to learn more about crops, shops, technology, machinery, or improve your quality of life, you'll find it all and more at the AG CONNECT Expo this January 13-15, 2010, in Orlando, Florida.

As part of the Expo, Successful Farming magazine is sponsoring workshops in the Innovations Theater free to trade show attendees.

Following are short descriptions of the eight topics that will be covered.

Crop Marketing. Alan Kluis, president and managing partner of Kluis Commodities, will discuss 10 factors, including expected weather patterns, the general economy, and shifting input costs impacting this year's prices and profits.

Trading Up. Greg "Machinery Pete" Peterson will give you the facts, identify helpful tools, and ease your decision-making process to help you value your trade-in as you invest in new equipment.

Field Robots. Learn about self-propelled platforms that are being enabled to fulfill different tasks, and take part in a discussion about the future prospect of robot technologies in agriculture.

Top 10 Tech Trends. New and rapid adoption of technology in production is making a huge impact in productivity and knowledge required in farming. Terry Kastens of Kastens, Inc. and Kevin Dhuyvetter, professor and Extension specialist of farm management at Kansas State University, will discuss what the emerging top trends are in technology and the impact those trends will have.

Communications In Ag Panel. Listen in as Jim Evans, a practitioner and professor who has spent a lifetime in ag and ag communications; Orion Samuelson, host of This Week in Agribusiness on RFD-TV; and Mike Yost, a fourth-generation Minnesota farmer, lead a panel discussion about the importance of best practices in ag communication.

Global Gearheads. Manfred Neunaber, Profi Tractors editorial director, will preview new machinery and equipment currently available elsewhere that is expected to be introduced in the U.S. in the near future.

Balancing Act. Professional speaker Jolene Brown will provide 10 ideas to help improve the quality of your home, family, and career.

Top Shops. Sit in as Dave Mowitz, Successful Farming magazine's machinery director, shares 10 tips gleaned from farmers for designing or modifying a dream farm shop.
