'Boom' in ag; 164-bushel corn?

It's been a week of looking ahead for U.S. farmers, with a lot of questions about how policy changes and business trends will affect crop and livestock production. On top of that, new numbers show U.S. farmers are going to have to raise a whale of a corn crop this year. Will it happen?

First, USDA released its baseline projections for major crops in the next few years this week. That was followed up by a lot of talk on Capitol Hill about ag's role in federal budget cuts. Now, it appears crop insurance may be the first program to feel the effects of tightening purse strings in Washington. Here are all the major headlines from the week in ag on Capitol Hill this week.
