Become a business-first family

Creating a successful farm family business starts with putting the family first. That's the focus for the kick-off session at the Generating Success conference, sponsored by Stine Seed and supported by Sukup Manufacturing, held Thursday and Friday in West Des Moines, Iowa. "Think of it not as a family-first business, but as a business-first family," said Successful Farming magazine Editor-in-Chief Loren Kruse in kicking off the event Thursday afternoon. "A successful business-first family does not sacrifice family for business, but values the family and has the business interest at heart.
