USDA report Friday

03/28/2012 - 04/06/2012

The USDA will release its Grain Stocks and Prospective Plantings reports this Friday, providing important fundamental information for the corn and soybean markets. Beyond the March 30 reports, spring weather and planting conditions will be important, says market analyst Darrel Good. Early planting (or more correctly, lack of late planting) of the corn crop could have some yield implications, but may be more important for the timing of harvest in the Corn Belt.
