1965 Ford F100 taught me a lot!!

My first car was a $400 pickup. Back in 1970, a pickup was still called a pickup, not a truck. This was a 1965 Ford F100 short narrow.bed, 352 cu in engine with a 3 speed column shift standard trans. The speedometer did not work. It had been a Halliburton Services truck earlier, or the body was. It appeared later that it was put together from salvage parts. It passed everything but a gas station for either fuel or to fix a flat.... After one trip in it to our farm 50 miles away my Dad bought me a new set of tires. I learned to do body work a month later after I lost the left front fender in a collision with my insurance agent"s dentist!!! 2 days work in the driveway and $50 later, it was back on the road. A year later, Dad bought a new pickup and I got his old one. I sold the old Ford only to find out the serial numbers on the pickup and the title did not match. I learned the way to navigate through the legal system to correct it....
