3 Big Things for the New Agriculture.com
Since our editors have been writing the always-popular “3 Big Things Today” column every morning for almost two years, we thought it appropriate to share three big additions to the new website, Successful Farming at Agriculture.com.
Of course, we have lots of improvements to the site – many of which you can see (like the design), and many things that you can’t (like how much faster it is).
Drum roll, please … our Three Big Things for the New Site:
All in the Name. First off, you’ll notice that we have adapted the name of the site to Successful Farming at Agriculture.com. We found a new way to marry the most trusted name in agriculture with the best URL, as well.
More News, more Weather, more Markets. We know you depend upon the basics to shape your day, and the decisions in your operation. In addition to daily articles from Successful Farming editors, we added a Reuters news feed, more up-to-date weather maps, and markets information that is just easier on the eyes.
Any Device, Any Time of Day. We know our traffic surges in the morning, around noon, and late afternoon (OK, it’s always buzzing with activity). So we designed a flexible site that will work in the office (on your desktop computer), in the field (on your mobile phone), or in the truck (on a tablet).
Although we have changed a lot, there are some things that haven’t changed:
- Community. Agriculture.com was born out of the voices of farmers in the message boards. Those are still here. Please join in! We want to hear from you.
- What Matters Most. We always deliver the content you need to be successful. We know information overload is part of your day. We keep it simple and direct.
As always, we want to hear from you. If you have any problems or want to share your thoughts, email us. Of course we want you to love it, but we also know that – as with your operation – there’s always something to fix.
