China Feb ethanol imports surge on year to 44,748 cubic metres -customs

BEIJING, March 21 (Reuters) - China imported 44,748 cubic
metres of ethanol in February, down from a monthly record set in
December of 180,984 cubic metres, customs data showed on Monday,
as buyers sought to profit from low global prices and meet
rising demand.

Imports were up more than 1,000 percent compared to 3,777
cubic metres in February 2015.
