Agronomy Tip: Collect and Analyze Data

Curt Woolfolk, Senior Agronomist at The Mosaic Company, recommends utilizing your georeferenced yield monitor data to create a farm database.

“Regardless of what mother nature throws your way, spend time reviewing your yield monitor data from previous years and look for trends or areas of the field that consistently perform well and those that don’t,” says Woolfolk. “Additionally, make special notes about rainfall levels and timing of rainfall so that going forward, if there are similar weather and field conditions, you can reference the data and adjust accordingly.”

Your investment in ag technology will be even more valuable when each piece of the puzzle is connected.
