$34.50 ROI of Starter Fertilizers (2-Hybrid Summary)

First year evaluation of various starter fertilizers, applied in-furrow, and their affects on yield and profitability.

Planting this plot on April 30, 2015 provided excellent conditions as it was one of the first planted. This plot happens to be a prime location for standing water. We observed that with all row starter treatments, the plants emerged quicker and grew faster than the controls. The additional early season root growth and overall health of the plants seemed to better handle the excessive rains, translating into significant yield gains over the control.
