$42.32/A. Average Advantage of Start Right

In an effort to increase plant health and yield, this four-year study evaluated the use of Start Right within a 2x2 starter fertilizer program at planting.
Agronomy Fundamentals:
The first step in maximizing yield potential is to establish a uniform, fast growing, and vigorous stand of corn. The second is the establishment of a strong nodal root system free from disease and or insect pressure.
Products marketed as biologicals or bio-stimulants are often marketed to influence those two things, amongst others. Biologicals are generally considered to be referencing beneficial soil bacteria, mycorrhizae, and fungi. Products such as umic and fulvic acids and enzymes are often marketed as bio-stimulants an can affect a plant’s ability to grow. Beck’s Practical Farm Research (PFR)® will continue to evaluate new products in these classifications to determine any benefits to the farmer.
