Stratego YLD and Leverage Study Shows 5 Bu./A. and a ROI of $25.29/A

This study evaluates tank mix applications of Stratego® YLD fungicide and Leverage® insecticide on BECK 313NL. Stratego YLD is registered for corn and soybeans, featuring the latest in triazole technology. Offering two different modes of action, it provides both preventive and curative activities along with the improved surface coverage and systemic movement to provide broad-spectrum,long-lasting disease control and higher yield potential. Leverage contains Imidacloprid (the active ingredient in Gaucho) and Cyfluthrin (the active ingredient in Baythroid). Applications were made at R2 growth stages For the 2014 growing season, the application of Stratego YLD + Leverage at the R2 growth stage offered a yield increase of 6.4 Bu./A. This yield advantage equated to a return on investment of  $39.11/A. Stratego YLD treatments without insecticide offered a yield advantage of 4.5 Bu./A. and a return on investment of $24.01/A.

Figure 1 illustrates three-year data from Central Illinois PFR and suggests an average yield increase of 5 Bu./A. and a return on investment of $25.29/A. from Stratego YLD and Leverage treatments.

Beck's Hybrids PFR program conducts more than 75 different studies across multiple locations (500+ acres) to learn how different management practices and new technologies perform in field environments. Simply put, it is research focused with the farmer in mind. To see the entire study, please download the PFR Book and see page 232.
