Sponsored: Farmers Find Enlist One™ Herbicide Controls Tough Weeds in Enlist E3™ Soybeans

Mike and Jeremy Patterson are the second and third generations, respectively, to farm their land in north-central Iowa. With increased weed pressure, the Pattersons were eager to try the Enlist™ weed control system. This year, they are growing Enlist E3™ soybeans for seed production. The father and son are pleased with all aspects of the Enlist™ system. They’ve used Enlist One™ herbicide postemergence as part of a program approach to weed resistance management, and they are getting the excellent weed control they expect. In addition, they report the product stays on target when applied according to the label. They say the crop tolerance to the herbicide is great.

The Pattersons have been dealing with waterhemp and giant ragweed along with some lambsquarters and marestail. Although weather caused some delays this spring, they were able to apply a residual herbicide at the start of the season. The residual product has done an excellent job holding back weeds.

Meanwhile, Enlist experts have helped them to ensure they get the most from this weed control technology. “We’ve been through training and met with the field specialist,” Jeremy explains. “The application resources are helpful and easy to follow. I took another pass through everything this morning before spraying.”

The Pattersons say neighbors are interested in the Enlist system and the performance of Enlist E3 soybeans. “There’s a huge interest in our area for Enlist,” Mike Patterson says. “Area salesmen and farmers are asking when they can use Enlist E3 soybeans.”
