Grow by FarmHer Tour Gets Under Way Soon

This year, the popular event for young women will be free.

FarmHer started as a photography project for Marji Guyler-Alaniz, allowing her to capture the working lives of farm women. While photographing women in agriculture is still at the heart of FarmHer, the brand has evolved to include a television show, podcast, merchandise, and nationwide events.

Those events include the popular Grow by FarmHer Tour, which is geared toward young women ages 16 to 23. The tour aims to inspire, encourage, and educate attendees to pursue their passion for agriculture through their future careers. It allows young women to learn about all ag has to offer and to onnect with mentors.

This year, the Grow Tour will begin in February, run through the spring, and start up again in the fall. Guyler-Alaniz will speak at each stop and will be joined by other women in the ag industry for panel discussions and networking opportunities. Following is the itinerary.

  • February 13: Tulare, CA, in conjunction with World Ag Expo
  • March 18: Washington, DC, in conjunction with National Ag Day
  • April 2: Manhattan, KS
  • April 4: Stillwater, OK
  • April 5: Columbia, MO
  • November 12: Madison, WI
  • November 13: Lafayette, IN
  • November 15: Ankeny, IA

A limited number of tickets are available at each location, but due to corporate sponsors, they will be offered at no cost this year. Learn more and register for one of the Grow Tour events at www.GrowbyFarmHer.com.
