Agronomy Tip: Communicate with Your Ag Retailer
Aaron Burke, Director of Central U.S. Crops with Atticus Crop Protection, recommends frequent communication with your retailer throughout the seasons.
“The retailer is effectively a one-stop-shop for regional agronomic information, including challenges other growers in the area are facing and the effects local weather events have had on insect and disease pressure,” he says.
A trusted advisor like your retailer can also be especially helpful to sort through the variety of tech applications available to you.
“Leveraging all of the technology can be overwhelming but a retailer can isolate the right solution for you and even coach you on how to use the tools,” Burke says.
Burke also says retailer websites and social media are great sources of information but a personal relationship two-way communication with your retailer is key.
