A ladder on the outside of a tall truck bed helps if you need to climb up when there is a full load. But what if you need to climb inside the bed when it’s empty, and then get out again? I mounted this step made of 1-inch angle steel and ⅜-inch rod about 20 inches above the floor. The wire panel allows grain to flow through. Take out three bolts, and the step is easily removed for other kinds of hauling.
