BigIron Auctions to acquire Sullivan Auctioneers

BigIron Auctions has announced its agreement to acquire Sullivan Auctioneers. The agreement was finalized on July 19 and will bring together more than 300 employees.

The two companies have nearly 80 years of combined experience and will continue future operations as BigIron Company. It will have locations in Omaha, Columbus, and St. Edwards, Nebraska; Hamilton, Illinois; Huntington, Indiana; and Bird Island, Minnesota.

Ron and Mark Stock will continue to head the Nebraska locations. Dan, Joe, Matt, Luke, and Michael Sullivan will continue to lead the Hamilton, Huntington, and Bird Island locations. Sullivan Auctioneers' locations will retain their brand and name following the acquisition.

“Our shared philosophies of transparency, trust, and hard work solidified our decision to combine organizations,” says Mark Stock, CEO for BigIron Auctions. “Together we are better.”

BigIron Company will be focused on discovering where the auctioneers’ combined knowledge and tools can be leveraged for a better customer experience in the second half of 2022, Stock says. The company’s strategy continues to be delivering high-quality auction experiences and to create a one-stop auction marketplace.
