Cool Tools: Use Vehicle Key To Operate A Wealth Of Locks

BOLT locks are designed to allow a single-vehicle ignition key to be inserted into any of the various types of lock products offered by the company, thus, reducing the need for multiple keys.

Using patented lock technology, BOLT locks are permanently programmed the first time a vehicle’s ignition key is inserted into the lock cylinder. This immediately codes the cylinder to that vehicle’s unique key. From then on, only the driver’s ignition key is needed to unlock the company’s various products, which include a receive lock, padlock, coupler pin lock, cable lock, and toolbox latch retrofit kit.

The 5/8-inch receiver lock is designed to fit Class III, IV, and V hitches as well as both 2- and 2 1/2-inch square receivers. The Couple Pin Lock fits 1/2- to 3/8-inch couplers and is adjustable in increments of 1/8 inch, allowing for a snug fit. The toolbox latch kit allows a toolbox cylinder retrofit for DeeZee, UWS, and other leading toolbox brands.

Previously available for pickup trucks, BOLT has extended this feature now to heavy trucks, including Freightliner (1997 to 2015), International (2006 to 2015), Sterling (1990 to 2013), and the Volvo VN series (2005 to 2013). All lock products come with a lifetime warranty. For more information, go to www.boltlock.com.
