CBOT SRW retreats from 6-1/2-year high, MGEX rallies, KC HRW flat

CHICAGO, Jan 13 (Reuters) - Chicago Board of Trade soft red winter wheat futures fell on Wednesday, retreating from their highest since May 2014 as investors locked in profits from the recent rally. * MGEX futures rose to their highest since June 2018 while K.C. hard red winter wheat ended slightly higher after hitting a six-year top overnight. * Analysts were expecting a U.S. Agriculture report on Thursday to show that weekly wheat export sales were in a range between 250,000 and 550,000 tonnes. A week ago, export sales of wheat totaled 281,313 tonnes. * Jordan's state grains buyer purchased 60,000 tonnes of hard milling wheat to be sourced from optional origins in a tender. It was bought from trading house Cerealcom Dolj at $269.20 a tonne c&f for shipment in the first half August 2021.
