China to auction 10,000 tonnes of frozen pork from state reserves on Aug 14
BEIJING, Aug 10 (Reuters) - China will sell 10,000 tonnes of frozen pork from state reserves on Aug. 14, the China Merchandise Reserve Management Center said on its website on Monday.
China has already sold more than 420,000 tonnes of pork from reserves this year to tame prices that have soared after the deadly African swine fever decimated the domestic pig herd. (Reporting by Colin Qian in Beijing and Meg Shen in Hong Kong; Editing by Toby Chopra)
