Cold weather slows Belarus grain crops sprouting

MINSK, April 17 (Reuters) - * Cold weather across most Belarus regions is preventing grain crops from sprouting, the state weather forecasting centre said on Wednesday. * Farmers had sown around 879,000 hectares of spring grains as of April 15, or 91.5 percent of the expected area. * Belarus has said its grain crop could total 8.5 million tonnes this year.
