MEDIA-Russia's VTB to buy stake in grain terminal from Ukraine's Kernel - RBC

* Russia's second-largest bank VTB is discussing the acquisition of a 50 percent stake in Taman grain terminal from Ukraine's agricultural firm Kernel, Russian daily RBC reported, citing three sources

* Taman terminal with a loading capacity of up to 3.5 million tonnes of grain is located in southern Russia

* Glencore owns the other 50 percent in the grain terminal

* The Russian government imposed sanctions on Kernel in 2018
